Resource - Janice
Janice Chen, L.Ac., FABORM is a board certified Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). She is licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine by the State of California Acupuncture Board and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Janice holds a membership with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Janice received her Bachelor of Science in biology from MIT, and then graduated summa cum laude from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Yo San University, specializing in reproductive medicine.
Janice specializes in the treatment of infertility for men and women, and is experienced in treating all aspects of women’s health. Her background also includes training and experience treating pain disorders, as well as general ailments for patients of all ages. Janice’s range of experience includes treating underserved populations at the LA Free Clinic, college students at the UCLA Arthur Ashe Medical Center, and vacationers on Princess and Celebrity cruise ships. She currently spends one day per week serving in the pediatric acupuncture program in the department of Anesthesiology/Critical Care Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Janice strongly believes in a holistic and integrative approach to wellness. She combines the use of evidence-based research protocols with traditional wisdom that has been passed down over thousands of years in China. She customizes her treatment for the unique needs of each patient, using acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and lifestyle guidance to help patients achieve their individual health goals.
For those who are struggling with infertility, Janice provides personalized treatment plans to help those who are trying to conceive naturally, or as a complement to enhance fertility protocols such as IVF. Her dedication, compassionate nature and positive attitude help her to support patients through the often challenging journey of becoming parents.
