Percentage of Patients undergoing IVF that Achieve Pregnancy

The success rates for Acacio Fertility Center are among the highest in the country, in all age categories. The Acacio Fertility Center is pleased to report its latest IVF success rate, based on its verified data submitted to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Acacio Fertility Center was established in February 2008 after Dr. Brian Acacio took over the former Sher Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Orange County. While SIRM-OC enjoyed some of the highest pregnancy rates in all of Southern California, and certainly, Orange County, it wasn’t until Dr Acacio successfully took over sole control of the laboratory that the bar was raised yet again, with regards to IVF success rates.

Today, Acacio Fertility Center offers unsurpassed quality control and breakthrough procedures. It is backed by Dr. Brian Acacio's reputation as a leading reproductive endocrinologist. Acacio Fertility Center's reported success rates are verifiable. Starting in 2009 and going forward, Dr. Acacio will have his first full-year cumulative success rate reported under "Acacio Fertility Center" to the national data registry.

2009 - 2010, IVF

Take a look at Figure 2 below, showing 2009 and 2010's data from Acacio Fertility Center, as compared to the latest national statistics.

In 2009, the average of our patients treated was 38.5 years old. As everyone understands, the success rates in ART are almost always age-dependent, so generally, the higher success rates are seen with younger age categories. Figure 2 above shows the percent of patients undergoing IVF by Dr. Acacio that achieve a pregnancy.  The comparison data used is the latest available comparison data from Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).

For that age group, 41% of patients in 2009 and 56% in 2010 receiving IVF treatment from Acacio Fertility Center achieved a pregnancy. In the age group 41-42, among patients receiving IVF treatment at Acacio Fertility Center, 31% achieved a pregnancy in 2009 and 44% in 2010 (compared to only 21% nationally in 2009). Finally, patients older than 42 years old and undergoing IVF treatment by Dr. Acacio were achieving a 29% pregnancy rate in 2009 and 21% in 2010. Dr. Brian Acacio sets another new standard for infertility treatment using robotic surgery

NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dr. Brian Acacio sets another new standard for infertility treatment using robotic surgery

Laguna Niguel, Southern California – February 15, 2010 - Dr. Brian Acacio now joins an elite group of physicians who are certified to perform Da Vinci robotic surgery through Acacio Fertility Center.

A leading reproductive endocrinologist who specializes in helping couples with infertility difficulties, Dr. Acacio understands the complexity of infertility treatment.  His specialized procedures and treatment strategies are optimizing couples’ success of having a baby.  A clinician who also trains other physicians, Dr. Acacio has helped more than 1,000 couples achieve their dreams of becoming parents.  Some patients’ conditions (such as fibroids) require Dr. Acacio to perform advanced, minimally invasive surgeries such as myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, and endometriosis.

With the sophisticated robotic surgery, Dr. Acacio is able to expand his surgical capabilities to a new level of precision and power.   He uses this state-of-the-art robotic technology and 3-D imaging to gently and precisely execute surgical maneuvers through small incisions.   This technologic enhancement is important to seamlessly translate a surgeon’s hand movements into precise micro-movements.

By undergoing minimally invasive procedures as part of their infertility treatment, a patient requires minimum recovery time and therefore minimum interruption to their overall progress.   Very few reproductive endocrinologists around the country have this expertise in robotic technology.  Dr. Acacio continues to stay at the cutting edge of knowledge and technology.
